EuropeActive in Nice to talk about Active Ageing

On Monday 23 January, EuropeActive EU affairs team was invited by the city of Nice (France) for a conference on Active and Healthy Ageing, with a special focus on the recently adopted legislation on the prescription of physical activity by doctors. With an audience of more than 200 people and speakers mostly from the medical sector, EuropeActive contributed to the debate with a presentation on the key role of the fitness sector as a supporter of the #BeActive message, and to share the good practices of the PAHA project.

With its successful project on Active Ageing, EuropeActive and its partners managed to enrol 669 people, from 55 to 65, in 7 EU countries to take part in a 6-weeks trial in fitness clubs. The support of the Personal trainers, who received additional training in active ageing and motivational changes, was essential to the good results of the project.
