On 21st September 2017, the EuropeActive Board of Directors got together for a Board meeting in the Brussels Office.
The Board represents the various stakeholder members of EuropeActive such as employers, training providers, national associations, fitness equipment suppliers, accreditation bodies and certification organisations. It will be the occasion to discuss future strategies and at the same time evaluate the results so far obtained.
2017 has been a successful year for EuropeActive and the EU Affairs team:
- We successfully concluded the PAHA project which has been selected as a success story by the Commission.
- The project on anti-doping in recreational sport started in January has gained positive feedback by the stakeholders. Many of them will attend the Annual Forum the 31st October.
- National Fitness Days – the European fitness sector contribution to the European Week of Sport 2017 – were joined by many strategic partners and Fitness Associations.
- 2 EU Projects were successfully selected. Let’s #BEACTIVE and Blueprint will both start in January 2018 and will be co-funded by the Commission for 3 years.
