The European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA ) invited members for the 'EAfA Get together!' event which took place on 13 February 2020 in Brussels. EuropeActive is an active part of this Alliance since 2017 to promote Vocational Education and Training (VET) and apprenticeships in the fitness, exercise and physical activity sector.

The event provided new networking opportunities. It included a mix of presentations, exchange of good practices, interactive activities as workshops and networking opportunities.

EuropeActive’s Senior Policy Officer Elisabeth Thienemann presented EuropeActive’s activities related to qualifications’ recognition. With increasing demands for qualified professionals, quality qualifications which are acknowledge by employers across EU member states play a crucial role in closing the ‘skills gap’.

What has started with the SIQAF project (2016-2018) and continued with the Blueprint project (2018-2020), is a crucial step towards skills development and recognition.
