The fitness and physical activity sector gears up for the European Week of Sport

Every year from 23-30 September, millions of Europeans from across the continent celebrate physical activity during the European Week of Sport. Even though this year’s edition will of course be quite different from previous editions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a whole range of events and activities will be organised, on-line and off-line, in every European country to promote active lifestyles.

Actively supporting the European Week of Sport 2020

EuropeActive is recognised by the EU Commission as one of the most active partners of the European Week of Sport - #BeActive Campaign since its first edition in 2015. Last year the Week’s 28K events took place in 42 countries involving 15 million Europeans. The week takes place from 23 – 30 September. Launch of the 6th European Week of Sport

The 6th edition of the #BeActive campaign (2020 European Week of Sport) was launched during the Olympic Day on June 23rd. The Week promotes active lifestyles through a variety of events around Europe organised by the National Coordinating Bodies and Partners, including EuropeActive. The Week’s mission is to encourage Europeans to improve their physical and mental well-being, enrich their communities and empower themselves to be more active on a regular basis.

European Week of Sport 2020 – Key Players Webinar

EuropeActive representatives joined the two-day European Week of Sport Key Players Webinar on 9th and 10th June 2020. National coordinators and partners of the European Week of Sport discussed the different communication strategies and shared best practices for the upcoming campaign on 23-30 September.
