EuropeActive’s successful ALCIS project is back with a second edition. On Wednesday 11thMay, the delivery partners met in the Brussels office to get ready for the upcoming months. ALCIS 2 will be brought to 9 EU countries (CZ, ES, IE, IT, LT, NL, PL, SE, and UK), addressing 12,000-14,000 children including a pilot intervention.
It has been a fruitful and exciting meeting where old and new delivery partners got to know each other. Peer learning was an integral part of the meeting, providing the base for a successful project with a long-term impact.
A special feature of ALCIS 2 will be a pilot intervention with refugee children who are now living in Brussels. “I am particularly looking forward to work with the migrant children” said Stephanie Racette, founder and president of eurMind and responsible for the editorial content in ALCIS 2. Physical activity is seen as an essential ingredient for healthy growth and development for all children. We are looking forward to the next 9 months and to be able to announce that ALCIS 2 made more European children, more active, more often.
