The European Commission’s Sport Unit hosted virtually their annual European Week of Sport (EWoS) Key Players Seminar 15 June 2023, in preparation of the annual campaign. The 9th edition of EWoS is set to roll out across the continent during the usual last week of September: 23-30 September 2023.
The Seminar brought together National Coordinating Bodies and EWoS partners and facilitated workshops that enhanced good practice sharing, reflections over the previous edition and that to come, and present some refreshed branding. The Seminar seeks to further foster overall collaboration as all involved parties are committed to working towards the same goal: encourage and inspire European citizens to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle.
The #BEACTIVE Night is set to be held on Saturday 23 September, and participants were informed the #BEACTIVE Awards received an ever growing number of applications, whose award ceremony will take place in November in Brussels. The latter currently cover four focuses: Education, Workplace, Local Hero, and Across Generations.
An EWoS partner since its inception, EuropeActive is busy planning, coordinating and supporting the organisation of the 2023 #BEACTIVE DAY campaign with its national associations, and is planning for the first time an event in Brussels! More information to be revealed very soon. Last year’s edition of our campaign and Erasmus+ funded #BEACTIVE DAY 2022 project was featured in the European Week of Sport’s 2022 Highlights brochure.
