On Wednesday 15 June, EuropeActive attended the European Week of Sport 2022 Key Players Seminar in Lille, where the coordination, communication, and logistics of this year’s campaign were presented.

The day started with an introduction of the week, which takes place each year from 23-30 September, featuring an overview of key facts and figures from past iterations as well as the priorities for the 2022 and 2023 European Week of Sport. The #HealthLifestyle4All initiative was highlighted and an outline of the important dates coming up this year was shared with the participants.

Next up, Tomas Fibek from Národní sportovní agentura, the Czech National Sports Agency, presented information about the 2022 European Week of Sport kick-off, which will take place in Prague. Participants were informed of the guiding principles for this year’s week and given practical information regarding the logistics of the event.

After team building exercises, partners were given the opportunity to offer feedback on the successes and challenges they faced in their work for the European Week of Sport, in order to further develop the week with constructive observations.

After thought-provoking speeches from two former European Week of Sport Ambassadors, Jorge Pina and Willemijn Aggelen, the seminar ended with a presentation on the #BeActive Communication strategy highlighting the best ways of increasing reach and impact.
