
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), 500 million people will suffer from the consequences of physical inactivity by 2030. The WHO recommendation: Adults should be physically active for at least 150 minutes per week. The experts assign the fitness industry a key role in this. FIBO accepts this mission and is substantially advancing the trend of health-oriented fitness training with new initiatives and formats. With its new "Health Ambassador", the renowned sports scientist Ingo Froböse, Professor of Rehabilitation and Prevention at Cologne Sports University, FIBO is also making the value of fitness for health visible and tangible for the masses.

The biggest fitness trends live to try out
FIBO will inspire its visitors with the biggest fitness trends at one place and the opportunity to network with stars and athletes. They can try the newest workouts from cycling, hula hoop and step dance or discover the latest yoga and Pilates sessions for themselves. Power is needed for the biggest trend of the year: HYROX. With functional training, HIIT and running, the worldwide challenge combines three training methods in one and offers a competition for everyone for the first time at FIBO. Completely new this year, the trade show is also devoting more attention to the topics of eSports and gaming and shows: Fitness and gaming belong together. Visitors can compete with popular gamers at the console and meet well-known creators. Experts will also offer helpful tips on how overall performance can be improved through appropriate nutrition and what role regeneration plays in ambitious eSports.
Advanced education and expert talks at the highest level
FIBO is also further expanding its range of advanced training courses for trade visitors and is linking theory and practice even more closely together. In numerous lectures and discussion rounds, renowned expert speakers will provide innovative impulses for everyday professional life and one's own business. The topics of preventive health care and nutrition, mental fitness and the management of health and fitness facilities will be covered, among others, by the FIBO Congress, which will be organised by experts from the BSA Academy and the German University of Health & Prevention (DHfPG). The new Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy Symposium by Thieme and Sportärztezeitung brings together sports physicians and physiotherapists, pools their expertise and provides innovative diagnostic, therapeutic and training methods that serve both disciplines.
