EuropeActive took part in the first conference organised in Brussels by UEFA on Thursday, 26th September in the framework of the Erasmus Plus Project – ‘Anti-Doping in Football’ in which EuropeActive participates as project partner. Henrik Lunde and Paul Quantock from the Norwegian Football Association and project leaders presented the ANT-DIFF scope, objectives and the first outcomes of the survey addressing young football players in Norway, Bulgaria, UK, Lithuania and Greece.
It is the first time that an Erasmus Plus project tries to deal with the prevalence of doping in recreational football and that is why ANTI-DIFF is attracting more and more the attention of the entire European Anti-Doping movement. The event was concluded by a panel discussion on the role of education as a tool to fight doping in grassroots football among members of the European Institutions and the UEFA Doping Department.
The other big appointment on anti-doping policy in Brussels will be the Annual Forum on Anti-Doping in Recreational Sport the next 12-13 November organised by EuropeActive!
