The 6th edition of the #BeActive campaign (2020 European Week of Sport) was launched during the Olympic Day on June 23rd. The Week promotes active lifestyles through a variety of events around Europe organised by the National Coordinating Bodies and Partners, including EuropeActive. The Week’s mission is to encourage Europeans to improve their physical and mental well-being, enrich their communities and empower themselves to be more active on a regular basis.
The recent lockdown launched a new emphasis on physical activity; People have shown great creativity in developing fitness routines despite the unprecedented circumstances. EuropeActive’s #BEACTIVE HOUR and the campaign’s core partners wanted to celebrate that momentum by organising simultaneous digital workouts across Europe.
This year, the fitness contribution to the European Week of Sport will be represented by the National Fitness Days. EuropeActive and its National Fitness Association members will organise different events in several European countries with the aim to get people more active more often in the clubs.
