EuropeActive hosted its 2021 European Fitness Associations Forum (EFAF) on Thursday 4th November in Cologne, Germany. The hybrid event included national associations representatives joining on-site and virtually to discuss how to professionalise the sector through standards, how to create a better fiscal environment for our sector, the importance of data collection through the European DataHub project and other key issues affecting their daily work.
EuropeActive’s vision is to be the leading European voice for the fitness and physical activity sector to get more people, more active, more often. We aim to achieve this vision by arranging key industry events to share ideas and to help inspire better business and entrepreneurship. After FIBO announced that they will not run as a live event as hoped, but as an all-digital event for 2020, we have adapted our plans around these now-virtual FIBO days.
The first Roundtable meeting was convened by EuropeActive on Tuesday 24th March and brought together 12 national associations as part of the European Fitness Association Forum (EFAF) concept. The weekly virtual meetings are addressing the need for a coordinated response to the Covid-19 situation.
