EuropeActive gears up with its DEI work

EuropeActive's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Group roadmap keeps progressing towards its established milestones re gender-balance and gender equity. The recently elected Board of EuropeActive provides a stronger representation of national associations and gender-balance than ever before, with women holding 60% of the seats and eight countries represented through the different Board members. The Sectoral Charter to be released in November embodies DEI as a mainstream topic of forthcoming publications and events. 

Considering workplace diversity, inclusion and belonging beyond the pandemic

On Wednesday 24th February, ACCA, PwC and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development held the highly relevant and needed webinar ‘Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging- Supporting the agenda in the post-pandemic workplace’.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

2021 has started with a busy schedule for European institutions. The European Parliament, among others, has been proactively working on gender equality issues, debating the pandemic effects over gender inequalities or equal access to healthcare. MEPs further adopted three resolutions based on the legwork of the Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) Committee reports, which notably welcome the European Commission’s EU Strategy for Gender Equality for 2020-2025. Last week’s plenary sessions, on said reports, voted to adopt a resolution.
