The #BEACTIVE DAY campaign is heating up across Europe

On 7 July and 9 July, two more #BEACTIVE DAY  National Stakeholder Seminars were held in Slovenia and Bulgaria. The two events, which gathered participants involved in the fitness and physical activity sector, were coordinated by EuropeActive’s national association partners in the respective countries, namely Section for Fitness, Recreation and Regeneration and the Bulgarian Association of Health and Fitness.

EFAF brought together EuropeActive's growing network of national associations to build the future of fitness

EuropeActive hosted its 2021 European Fitness Associations Forum (EFAF) on Thursday 4th November in Cologne, Germany. The hybrid event included national associations representatives joining on-site and virtually to discuss how to professionalise the sector through standards, how to create a better fiscal environment for our sector, the importance of data collection through the European DataHub project and other key issues affecting their daily work.

Largest gathering of National Fitness Associations agrees that cooperation is the way forward

25 national associations came together as part of EuropeActive’s series of roundtables which are actively planning the future of fitness. European associations were joined by representatives from Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and Georgia to form the largest such interest group for three sessions exploring how international cooperation can help lead the sector out of COVID-19, to build political capital and to promote the importance of healthy lifestyles through a cooperative and mutually beneficial approach.

The 6th Edition of the European Week of Sport

The sixth edition of the European Week of Sport, which took place from the 23-30 of September was a great success and adapted exceptionally well to the difficult circumstances as imposed by C-19 which resulted in the cancellation of many planned events throughout the continent. The official figures regarding participation in the EWoS will soon be published by the EU Commission on the European Week of Sport website.

EuropeActive successfully hosted its fourth EFAF online roundtable

EuropeActive has successfully put together a series of online Roundtables to address the need for a coordinated response to the Covid-19 affecting the European fitness sector. The 4th EFAF roundtable took place the 14th April and brought together 13 National Fitness Associations that were updated on the latest developments at European level.

EFAF Roundtable - Actively building the future of fitness

The first Roundtable meeting was convened by EuropeActive on Tuesday 24th March and brought together 12 national associations as part of the European Fitness Association Forum (EFAF) concept. The weekly virtual meetings are addressing the need for a coordinated response to the Covid-19 situation.
