The mission of the New Health Project, now in its third and final year, is to provide sports- and lifestyle organizations, professionals, volunteers and consumers with easy to obtain and to understand knowledge and tools to improve physical activity, healthy eating and mental fitness. At the heart of this mission is the New Health mini-video series.

The New Health Project Final Symposium in Utrech sets out a path to active healthy lifestyles!

The New Health Project held its Final Symposium in Utrecht, on Friday 25 November as part of the Fitfair Jaarbeurs Event, a national event for fitness professionals and club owners from across the Netherlands.

The New Health Project Event Champions Healthy Lifestyles

The New Health Project’s mission to enhance the physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of citizens across Europe continued in Brussels on 6 October when EuropeActive held an event to promote the work and on-going objectives of the project.

New Health Project Meeting in Barcelona: project to present soon at the ‘Food SWITCH Events'

The diet that most people have adopted in the western world over the past 70 years has resulted in increased levels of preventable disease and premature death. This has happened even though it is now clear, from scientific evidence and practice, how we can feed our body healthily. The problem we now face is that many have learnt and unconsciously adopted an unhealthy diet and it is difficult to nave an impact on and change such ingrained behaviour.

The “New Health” initiative is looking for international supporters

In a context where the proportion of physically inactive citizens in the EU remains worryingly high (with 46% of EU citizens not exercising or practicing sport at all), the aim of the 3-year Erasmus+-funded European project “New Health” is to provide sports and healthcare professionals, teachers, community workers, volunteers and consumers with tools to improve physical activity, healthy eating, mental fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
