EuropeActive attends WHO webinar on Ecosystem Approaches to HEPA Promotion

On September 1st, EuropeActive attended a World Health Organisation (WHO) webinar addressing innovative systems thinking tools and approaches to promote health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA). 
 
This webinar was organised jointly by the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Université Côte d’Azur, CNRS GDR Sport & Physical Activity, and Queens University Belfast, as the opening event for the Summer School of the WHO European network for the promotion of health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA Europe)

ISPAH and WHO Webinar: "Youth guidelines – How can we get young people more active?"

On Thursday May 6th, the International Society For Physical Activity And Health (ISPAH) organized a webinar together with the World Health Organisation (WHO) on how to get young people more active. 
 
In his introductory speech, Jasper Schipperijn, ISPAH President, highlighted how physical activity levels have declined during the COVID pandemic and are currently much below the WHO recommendations, especially for young people.

WHO Europe organises a three-day Urban design for Health workshop

On 14th-16th April 2021, the World Health Organisation’s Regional Office for Europe organized a three-day workshop on urban design for health, during which several stakeholders discussed how urban design could promote healthy lifestyles and encourage individuals to be more physically active.
