European Parliament, Brussels | 2 December 2026
Where the physical activity sector meets European health policy.
About
Physical inactivity is one of the largest preventable burdens on European health systems, and the sector with the infrastructure to address it sits outside the health policy conversation.
Exercise for Health exists to close that gap. It brings members of the European Parliament, health policy specialists, researchers and the fitness and physical activity sector into the same room to work out what prevention policy should look like and who delivers it.
The third edition takes place at the European Parliament on 2 December 2026.

Who is it for?
Members of the European Parliament and their advisers. Officials from the Commission and from national health and sport ministries. Researchers in public health, exercise science and health economics. Health sector organisations and patient groups. Operators and national associations working on referral, prescription and prevention programmes.
What to expect

Evidence first.
Presentations from researchers working on physical activity, prevention and health outcomes, selected for what they mean for policy rather than for the laboratory.
Policy in the room.
Sessions hosted inside the European Parliament, with the people who write and vote on European health policy present rather than quoted.
Practice that already works.
Programmes running today in European countries, presented by the people delivering them, with the results and the obstacles both on the table.
